Minimum Requirements to Begin

Puppy Class:

We understand that puppies will be puppies. They are still learning sit, down, come and stay. They do need to be friendly to other dogs and people to be in the class. When there are not enough puppies to fill a separate class, we allow them to join a Beginning Class.  We will only teach the puppies the equipment that is safe for them to do while they finish physically growing up.  We do not want to risk injury that would cause problems later on.  Fortunately, there is a lot we can safely teach them while they grow.  We will also cover some obedience training and socialization skills as well.  After all – they are puppies!

Beginning Class:

We do not require that the dogs have formal obedience training, but they need to be under enough control to participate in class without causing delays or distractions to the other dogs. In other words, they should come when called and know the commands, sit, down and stay – all off leash. Your dog must be willing to allow the class instructor and assistants to touch them. Dogs can not be aggressive towards other dogs or people.

Intermediate class:

Completion of the beginning class or if you have trained with another instructor, an evaluation of you and your dog.

Advanced class:

Dog is able to perform all equipment including weave poles. If you have trained with another instructor, an evaluation of you and your dog.
